Lol So can i tell Lake Speed Jr to stick that profilometer where the sun don't shine!! I think the profilometer is a very valuable tool to have. I have had one for a while now and it has been eye opening for sure. The cylinder ha...

Re: Clevite bearings

Not sure on country of origin. I’ll look on the box. 1432p 351w bearings and same issues with 1039p 460 bearings also.

They need to readjust the tolerance spec back to about 10 years ago!!

Clevite bearings

Has anyone else seen an issue with clevite bearings. The last few sets I have used had anywhere from .0005-.0015 taper in them. Replaced with king bearings problem solved.

Re: SBC No Clearance on Rear Main Bearing

Make sure the locating tang is not bottoming out in the cap. I have had this happen from time to time. Depth and width.

Actually have 4 different ones. A 3-1/2", 4-1/2, 6" stone length, and one without the stone length listed.
I will buy the 3 1/2 scale from you. I have the 4 1/2 and 6" scale. Thanks.

These should give you the info you need.

Basically everything's off 1 line (1/4") and the over stroke is different.

I don't even change mine anymore.

Unfortunately for you I will not part with it.

Hope this helps,
Joe
Thanks

CV-616 pieces wanted

I'm looking for a stroke scale part # PNP-1350 (for 3.5 length stone) sunnen said was not a good number.
Also if anyone has any extra stone/guide spacers I would like to buy some individual pieces.

I am thinking of giving camking a try. I hope he chimes in on this.
Most “custom cam people” just put together lobes from someone else’s lobe catalogue.

I'm in the market for a thermal cleaning system. If anyone knows of something for sale please let me know. The closer to Mississippi the better.

Re: ford j302 head

I remember the first set of J-302's I ever saw. Local guy bought a set in the late 1980's. I was just a kid but I remember it being a big deal. Those things were crazy high at the time. They were like $1000-1200 bare. He had them on a 306 in a 1965 Comet Cyclone with a 4 speed. He still has the car ...
