Re: Totalseal rings

I've always found it a little amusing that the advent of the Zero-Gap ring was for use in air compressors...because they didn't have a one-way check valve yet. The compressor companies tossed then as soon as someone invented that little jewel. I also find it odd that one can attempt to make a compa...

Re: comp ratio with solid roller cam

Pretty much the most intelligent post in this thread, thanks Jay. =D> F'Bird, you are an idiot although some times you get it right, most times you do not. It's really sad that you have a following. Fuel curve is king. I could put a 1300 cfm dominator on a stock 283 and MAKE it work perfectly. Is t...

Re: before/after 383 dyno results

Because it uses fuel flow in its calculation, we tend to think that BSFC numbers are driven by fuel factors like jetting, atomization, etc., BSFC is driven by jetting, atomization,.... but by many other things too. What other things??? I've seen taking jet away improve BSFC at less power. I've seen...

Re: First time out with new 412Reher Morrison looking for opinions

It’s replys like that, that keep me on forums like this. I appreciate all constructive ideas from you guys and will ignore the odd guy who is just here to be a dick. I do know my collectors are only 3” and they call for 3.5”. There’s lots of little places that I can pick away at to improve this car...

Re: First time out with new 412Reher Morrison looking for opinions

You would be miles ahead to get YOUR engine dyno'd to get real world numbers (both measured and corrected) for your converter manufacturer and you can learn what the engine wants for timing and whatnot, as well as finding the proper shift point and trap RPM. I've tested a handful of big name USA ra...

Re: First time out with new 412Reher Morrison looking for opinions

I’ve never heard of Reher Morrison building junk. They heads are CNC ported by them and the cam is spec’d By them also. I may have misquoted the figures slightly but the cam part number is a 410-110. The gearing will be too deep for spray I know that but perfect for N/A when you consider my 1.76 fi...
