Re: BBC roller cams

Johnson puts together a lot of Isky's roller lifters but Not " All " of them. Isky's highest end Roller Lifters are assembled In-House. Who told me this, a person employed by Johnson in Taylor Michigan . Mark H.

Re: Burn patterns on piston and chamber

Some things you never forget. Several years back i viewed a Cylinder Head in a Machine Shop that was in for something. I remember it being a Yates designed Ford Head from a Racing Engine. 20221203_182359.jpg20221203_180151.jpg Curious on what to look for and which direction one should take when looking at burn patterns. Spark plug wetting seems to be a issue for a lot of early OEM type cylinder heads. The fuel used here was MS109 I am interested in opinions on what guys think is hap...

Here is a question i would like somebody to answer, the weight of the Inner and Outer valve spring ( the portion of weight that the springs themselves have to keep in control ) how does this weight compare to the Titanium valve, the Titanium retainer and tit. locks ? Mark H.

My wild guess / estimate would be that T & d 's Steel Rocker arm would flex only 3 to 5 percent of what the average Aluminum rocker would . Mark H.

Re: Temperature Increase on Highway

You said the radiator in use is brand new, how about a little history on this 327 engine. Is it also new or is it well broke in ? If the Engine is Not new, has this temp. concern been going on for a while or ?? .

Re: Cutting rocker stud in intake

It is in an area where there is a Lot of air flowing, Rough mark it, remove and saw it off a little long, clean threads so it does not ruin the threads in the head, tighten to spec. then grind to fit port shape. on final assy. use a small amount of thread sealer . Mark H.
