This does not sound like something I can do at home,I just don't know why the machine shop that did the crank and rods didn't complete the job I mean he had the crank,bearing and the rods But tells me that is something that I can do.I have even put the crank and rods in the block and with rods bolts...

This is for a even fire crank with the split journals,And the crank grinder after he completed the work said that the bearing were going to need more side clearance .

Chamfering Rod bearing

Do any of you guys know if a bearing scraper can be used to chamfer a rod bearing to fit a crank radius,or what other home type tool can be used.Are can I just buy a Rod bearing that is already chamfered the bearing that I have is CB-745-HN.

Not really sure there was one valve seal that had came away from the guide,but other than that I'm not really seeing anything else,or unless I lost the ring seal but the engine was not smoking.

Before and after hone,does this look like a acceptable cross hatch hone if not I will have to go with my other set of piston and have the block bored I had been trying to wait to have my block bore out until used up this set of Pistons .

Long rod and camshaft

Well now that my motor is apart it's time to try out my even fire V-6 rotating assemble I have a very short piston compression height 1.130 with a 6.300 rod and there have been discussions on the cam profile for long rod motors and I would like to know if this is something that I should be concerned...

Wow glade I made the decision to disassemble this engine I just keep finding more and more problems just found one the Jessel rocker arms cracked and I didn't notice it until the rocker open the valve that's when I could see the crack open,one of the cylinders will need to be bored so that looks lik...

Something else with this piston is that I can stick the top crown of the piston down to around the skirt and it will fit into a 4.035 bore with the skirt being 4.054 and that is were it stops is this normal for a piston to be that tapered.And these piston were built for a Roush Eng SVO V-6 from nint...

So what does the link bars look like seems to they pulling the lifters inward towards each other from the way the wear pattern is on the lifter body.

Yep that's the one I believe to be giving me problems,that and I found one of the valve seals had backed away from the guide area.

It's not the gasket I just looked at the passenger side head a little more and there is a little bit of erosion pit kind of deep right near the combustion chamber and a water hole on #1 cylinder,looks like some welding may be needed if could post a pic I would it still said that its to large.

I have a pic of the heads and gaskets but seems there to big to down load,when I pulled the head bolts out some of them had some old crusty looking crap on the threads that I have never seen before it was mostly on the exhaust side bolts but a few of the inner bolts had this salty,sandy kind of stuf...
