I have no problems using moly rings, OP was a bit worried so I posted a tiny feedback. Shoot, many top fuel teams are running plasma moly tops again.

You've answered your own question, can't control the driver, conditions or octane. Use a stainless top if you are serious, yes it induces more cylinder wear but it will be there when the guys brings it back because he broke something else.

Do you think top fuel engines have a start/release function in their dual plug at 10,000+ hp. It's a redundancy. Sometimes it can use two or more kernels. Rotary's have taken advantage of that with pump gas for years.
