Re: Unequal fuel distribution using RPM Airgap intake

We've had a problem with every Quickfuel SS series doing this exact same thing. Put a P or Q series on and the problem goes away.

Re: Canton pans are ?

Same here with the Champ pans way better and cheaper than the Canton pans in my opinion. Picked up several Hp in a pan swap from canton to champ a few years ago in a dyno test.

Re: chrysler 360 cracked head bolt holes in block

We've used the full torque inserts also have to put them in with a mill to make sure they are straight but they work very well. On the block we fixed you could see the crack pull together as we torqued the insert into place. It is the only insert we use on deck surfaces now.

Re: Brad Penn Break In Oil

We use Brad Penn in all of our circle track engines and have only seen improvements over other oils we have used in the past. Just had a 2 bbl engine come back with 68 nights on it 1/4 mile dirt 26 laps a night and could have used the bearings over and the cylinders still had a crosshatch in them wi...

Re: Propylene Oxide?

The stuff is almost impossible to get anymore due to being on the national carcinogen list. Worked better in methanol than gas. Saw dragsters drop from 7.52 to 7.38 and 7.40 to 7.31 with 10-12% mix in alcohol. Fairly stable when mixed but evaporates easily. We only mixed what we would use for the day.

Re: Lost all rod bearings on dyno bbc mark IV

We stopped using them about 3 years ago when they wouldn't last more than 18 nights in a 675 hp engine where the clevite bearing would go 40 nights

Re: Lost all rod bearings on dyno bbc mark IV

We used King bearings in the past on circle track engines to cut rotating weight but as the HP went up so did the problems of flaking the bearings apart. Switched back to Clevite and problems went away. The only thing we use them in now is 10:1 2 BBL engines.

Re: Taking damper out of single spring

Well customer wanted to go ahead and take them out regardless of my imput so i had him sign a waiver saying no warrenty of any kind on this build. I guess this will be a free test for us regardless of what happens. By the way it is a 1.250 spring .490 lift 6500 rpm 135 on the seat 330 open hydraulic...

Taking damper out of single spring

Customer wants to take the damper out of a single spring aplication to save weight. That it will but i'm thinking it will let the spring go uncontroled and possible lead to valvetrain damage or instability. Any thoughts or should i just avoid this one?
