Unlimited, I don't know. I know of one that is NOT unlimited and it puts out 943Hp @ somewhere around 740 ft # perhaps a little less on a dyno that was sitting outside.

I just finished building & dyno testing a custom 436 sbc for a bracket race customer. We ported a custom set of SB2.2 heads & GM manifold modified to a 4500 carb.It has a small wet sump pan setup. It made 950 hp at 7800rpm .I stop my test at 7800 rpm due to this not being a dry sump. Torque was 687ft lbs at 6500 rpm. Torque started at 600ft lbs at 5000 rpm

How big is that motor? Even if it was 450 inches that's over 1.6 lb/inch. What kind of dyno? Thats 195 ft/lb more than a very competetive 358 Cup engine.

Can you offer some basic specs on that engine?

900 hp small block in my dragster would make me very happy..

SBC SB2.2 4.165 bore 4.00 stroke 6.00 rods 2inch to 2.250 headers 4inch collector . 1220 cfm custom 4500 carb. I have done a couple of these same design styles for automatic bracket cars meaning lots of torque for the size of engine .With a broad rpm band. Last ones we just completed 400inch ford yates 830 hp & 461 bbc dart heads 850 hp. The both produce quick ets for their size.

It appears that jim's motor has the highest bmep #'s I've ever seen. 237psi at peak torque and 221 at peak power!
