Cast Roller camshafts

Post by la360 »

I have an old Comp Cams Roller camshaft, it's new, but it's a cast core. I am a little reluctant to run it full tim in my engine, but I would like to atleast do some dyno testing with it. What kind of spring pressures will the cast cores handle for a short time before problems occur?

It's an old Super Stock grind for a small block chrysler
0.623"/0.625" lift with 1.5 R/R
275/281 duration @ 0.050"
106 lobe separation
Stainless 2.08"/1.60" 3/8" stem Manley Pro Flow valves
Currently has 10 degree steel retainers, but I will run Titanium if suitable ones can be found.
Thanks
AL...
