We are running a bow tie small block 350 with siamesed bores in a ski race boat.
At the moment the water enters the block through the standard ports but can it be fed through lines and into the block through the welsh plug openings? This seems logical to me as the water must circulate more evenly around the cyclinders but are there any pit falls with this method and if not why dont we see it more often?
Also can an early chev block be reversed cooled and if so is this more efficient?

Yes you can reverse cool a traditional chevy motor...

On the Gen II (LT1) based motors we can commonly run some pretty high Dynamic Compression Ratios on pump gas without detonation problems, I would think in a boat motor you could push that even more with the cold "coolant"
