Well Ken, i can say anything looks great and in good condition in pictures. i'm sure everything the guy says is true. however, i would be very leary about this deal. for one, the super seven valve locks are god awefull! they are no good in my opinion, so those would have to be changes along w/the retainers (of course) they were repaired in the past, good. but you don't know what happend to them. if they were welded up a ton, the would need to be re-heat treated. you don't know how fatigued those springs are either. it seems to be one of those it's to good to be true deals. sorry. good luck w/your decision

The seller, .. one who sells allot of NASCAR "take off" stuff on Ebay, ..
does say they will guarantee them to be in good working order, ..
could be a fair deal and often these SB2.2 "take off" heads are great for
a bracket engine.
The SB2.2's are on Ebay often going anywhere from $1400 to $3500 for a set.
This seems like a good deal to me.
main thing, .. have a pro cylinder head shop look them over as soon as
you get them to make sure they are OK to run. I'll be glad to do it for
you if you want to ship them here, .. inspect & flow, .. just pay shipping.
I'd try to use Paypal as they will protect you incase there is any dispute
after the sale.
Keep in mind if you're going to build an SB2.2 engine you'll need special
pistons, cam, headers, off set lifters and a lifter valley cover.

Same question
I have been using them for a number of years to 9000+ with absoultly no issues.
They clamp the valve like a 7 degree lock & have the area of a 10 degree lock,, so what's not to like??

Super 7 is the only lock that will go in any engine I build.
Far grearter collet load with 7 degrees than 10 degrees.
And the locks themselves are greater in section... much stronger. I've seen 10 degree junk crack. You won't find a 10 degree lock in any Cup engine.
