MMC Maincaps?

I was looking around on LSM's website and came across their MMC maincaps, what's the deal on these???

Might be an aluminum called Fortal sometimes used in mold making.

MMC usually means "Metal Matrix Composite". Hetre's some basic info.

So it is most likefully the same material used in the Jager rods that were banned by the NHRA for Pro Stock

Probably not the same material. There are MANY MMCs that can be made.
Yes NHRA outlawed "exotic" materials for engine parts, as well as putting minimum weights on things like rods.

The mmc lsm uses is the same material they make the light weight cylinder sleeves out of for they spriont car blocks its a dull yellow looking composite that has fibers you can see in it for strenght, with these linears and caps the blocks weighs in at just under 86 lbs. with their lightening.
