Post by bsfc9 »

don, have you ever heard that j_ pistons(you know that popular well known brand used alot in cup shops) have a bad habit of scuffing on the top ring land due to poor design and that the "contact reduction grooves" are a band aid for this?i have had great luck with these but some folks swear there is a problem. JEez!

I think it's a bunch of nonsense. If they designed "contact reduction grooves" into the piston to cover up a design problem, why wouldn't they just fix the design problem? :?
