I agree or Dart Iron Eagle are very simular too.cstraub wrote:My choice would be an Iron sportsman II with 64 cc chambers. Mild clean up, good performance valve job and the head makes alot of bang for the buck.
If you prefer alum. I would go with the small canfield. Alot of bang for the buck.

I love motorsports because all other sports require only 1 ball!
Cheap...Powerful....Reliable...Choose only 2 of the 3

I've never worked on Pro Action heads since my main stream is imports around here.Racer7088 wrote:I would say 23 degree RR Pro Actions if you have to use 23 degree heads.
.
Is it true they can flow up to 420+ cfm and if so with what size valve?
I think they make a head for Honda's too
Thanks

Just spent all day on the dyno with a combo that is very similar to what you are looking for. We used the pro-topline 200cc aluminum heads. With port work these things were amazing. Better than any 200cc head I have ever seen. This motor, with a little over 9-1 comp. made over 400 ft lbs from 2600-6300 with peek torque of 517@4600 and peek power of 518@5800. It held power above 500 to 6300 and still had 486 at 6600.We were pretty pleased with the results. It idles at 750rpm and is really crisp. The motor is getting shipped to Peru, so we might not get any track results right away.Does this kind of fit what your looking for?
TK, yes, those big rolled over protoplines will go over 400cfm. Like anything else, people want to stretch the numbers some, but they are a killer head and make great power.

Thanks Don. It's good to be here!
There are some race versions of SBC heads that Pro-Topline makes that go over 400 cfm for large circle track and sprint car engines like their 14 degree heads and their other 11-13 degree stuff too but they're far from the 23 degree!
