LS1 repair sleeve press fit
I have installed a few Melling csl332f sleeves in LS1 blocks and have always put them in with .0015-.002 interference. The last block I did the cylinder next to the sleeve had a lot of distortion but I was honing to 9.004" so it cleaned up ok. Has anyone used a smaller amount of press, say .0005" without a problem?

Yes... done many with about .0005" press fit with 680 Loctite. Done a few with .0000" ish fit with 640 Loctite and no problems. No choice trying to not distort the neighbors
