BBC 427 Pistons

Yes we cc the heads last weekend and they came out to107.2cc. I will probably make a couple of chamber molds this week end to send out if necessary.
Adger’s pistons are for an open chamber so no help there, but he was a wealth of knowledge on some other areas.

J&E made these pistons out of the mold I sent.
4.320 bore 44.3cc 13.52:1 721grams

That's extremely heavy. My JE 427 pistons with a 34cc closed chamber dome are around 660 grams.

I just realized that. I just double checked the spare one on a scale and its 720g.

Probably had to use a solid dome to get that shape dome. It is nearly a blob dome. They might not have a hollow dome blob forging to make that dome shape. 720 and a pin of 150 isn't bad. Look at the weight of what we used for years. TRW and Speed Pro. It will probably make a pretty good platform to shoot a shot of NOS at. :~)

When I get home after work I will post some picks of the spare piston.

Adger, since its injected on alky I can just tip the can if I need a little extra.
