I have had a ATI 7" on my BBM since 97, it was the BBC design with a BBM hub, before they actually made a Mopar balancer.
I have had nothing but excellent results since in use.
With that said I have PB on 2 500-650 hp BBM and one on a 509 BBC 800+ hp all with good results also.
Last year did a 383 for a customer that had purchased a Jegs SFI ballancer, it was a PB piece.
I think if on a budget the PB will work just fine.
Stay clear of the China balancers, herd many horror stories.

Those rebuildable balancers are that way for a reason. You will be rebuilding them! To NOT consult with the Crank manufacturer is a huge mistake with balancer selection. Some people can almost predict the future.

Good choice Stroker. I don’t know much about balancers/dampeners,but when Mike Lewis was putting together the bottom end for my current 513 BBC,he suggested swapping out the Fluiddamper for a ATI Super Damper. He honed it to fit the crankshaft snout.Works great

Re: BBC 7" Damper vs 8" Damper
There is not much difference, performance wise, between the 7" and 8" damper. However a 6" unit is favorable in a maximum effort race engine with lightweight rotating assembly and aluminum flywheel.
