AMC race cylinder heads

Post by phoenix »

O.K. where are my AMC guys. Does anybody know if anyone is making any racing AMC cylinder heads besides Indy? I know Fred Brewer was making some really nice ones but quit. I think he sold the tooling. Not sure if they are going to be remade. If anyone knows where I can buy a set PLEASE pm me!!! Thanks.

Can BB Chrysler heads be modified to fit AMC blocks? The bore spacing is close. 4.75 (AMC), 4.8 (Mopar). I know Fred Brewer was doing this with his AMC/BB Mopar heads. Not sure if they were different castings or modified cores?

I "heard" of a IHRA production S/S AMX that was said to have B-1's adapted, but I can't verify it.

A set of those Brewers would be nice, but they're harder to find than a mustang without Flowmasters.

Denny, I'm hopeing that whoever has the tooling will start making them again. No. Sadly enough I won't be going to PRI. I'm just a firefighter. Engines are my passion, however that wont get you into the show!

Contact Herman Lewis Racing. He has a new head in the works. Barry Allen has tested the prototypes. HTH

Barry that Hermans new head is a symetrical port like a Ford. He said Herman has been messing with it for about two years. They have not been giving him the results he's wanted.
