UPDATE
Heads were sent out to Chad Speier Racing Heads. Heads were still falling off at 900". I have every part bought. This is the last part to the build.

Are there any fuel distribution tank farms around you that blend ethanol. Or ethanol plants?

I ask because you might want to consider E98..

And are you testing pump E85 to make sure it is at least at 85 percent ethanol or maybe slightly above.

I think our Midwest E85 blend is lowered when it turns winter here because it is harder to light off. Say down to E70 and then back up to E85 once it warms up.

Hope this is of interest. I'm in MO and we have several ethanol plants in the state.

There is a tank farm about 5 miles from me off Hwy 63 south and an ethanol plant in Macon, MO, 60 miles away, just off Hwy 63 north, then east on Hwy 36.

we have it sold here locally at the pump and yes it is testing every time we buy it. Im in Florida and we don't have a winter blend. So it is right around 85 to 87% everytime we tested it for the past 4 years. Im goin to probably end up running C85 because of what we have found on the dyno with it vs pump E85.

Did you flow your heads with your new intake on them to see if they still backed up.

now they go 352 at 800" and drop to 338" at 900" and he is till working on them.

Just got heads back from Chad peak at 375 700" and go 360 at 850". Decided to change carb to 1250 with Q16 and going to build custom headers....1 7/8" to 2" to 2 1/8" 3" at the choke and then out to 3.5" collector. Hopefully these changes will help make 850. Intake Port is 255 cc now

Brian, I know it's been a a while , but can you provide an update? Your combination appears to have a ton of potential and I'm sure many Talkers would love to know how it has worked out. :)
