decent I guess, if I could apply some of the short turn advice on the bad port Mark Jones has given I wonder how much it would help?

Actually they work very well, they are just a bit less than my better set of 781's that have 100 hours in them with bigger ports 2.3" valve and much more deshrouding. My good phone just freaked so I cannot post pictures. Away this weekend. I need a few days next week to study yours and mine and come up with a game plan. Thanks Charlie

I had a set of 049 heads gone thru years back. I opted only to use the 2.19 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves. I see no gain installing the bigger 2.30 intake valve. Just my two cents.

I would love to get some feedback on a port cut with a divider like this. I would think it would cut cross port flow which I would think would lessen flow somewhere in the lift curve.

That hump trailing the guide in the exhaust port unfortunately has water under it that follows that contour from what I seen. I think it can be cut down maybe near 3/16" before breaking through though. Go ahead and cut through on that head to see if you want.
