I figured a good chance to compare to my David Vizard Quadrajet copy to the latest quadrajet manifold. The DV copy is no joke and has lots of hours in it. 2" holes drilled in each T intersection and dividers welded in. Inside radius changed on some runners with outside weld. 1/2" spacer tigged to top of manifold. This manifold flowed 249 cfm on a bigger head. Magic marker shows where divider is welded in.

DV quadrajet copy flow test. Increase over milder manifold.

My "take-away" is that it well worth spending $150 on an aftermarket dual plane if rules allow it! :D

Kenny actually sold the project before we started to put the new engine together. It was a good learning curve taking the worse Chevy heads and getting some decent flow numbers out of them. You know, for guys with some free time and not so much cash. Build power vs. Buy power type thing.

Yeah I hate that when that happens. You put in all the time on the heads and manifold and got no data or results. I would certainly remember that when that friend/customer came around again. That should be an upfront condition of your charity in the future. Lesson learned I'm sure.

Kenny was very good to me when we worked together. He didn't ask for a thing. I was going through my junk for a set of heads I could put some time in and literally give away and make good power. His smile and word of mouth would have brought in some work no doubt. It was worth the effort to me knowing event the worst Chevy heads could be a decent street head with some work. Thanks, Charlie

Oh I must have missed it....long thread. I thought it was mentioned that it wasn't finished or tested. It's nice to help especially if it reciprocates.

It wasn't finished or tested. It was a flow bench exercise.

Do you have heads out there running down the track or that have been on the dyno.

Would like to see how they run

Watch "David Vizard, Charles Servedio, E7TE ported heads 306 Ford dyno" on YouTube

306 Ford, 9.1 comp, terrible quench, rpm intake qf650 carb, Jones 206, 206 @ .050 flat tappet cam .474" lift with scorpion 1.6 rr. Crappy headers. 34 degrees timing no tuning. Hp and torque are in description. Heads are E7TE 1.97"/1.6" designed by DV and Charlie. Intake valve is really too big for that casting. The heads have their own thread on ST. Thanks, Charlie
