Help identify this cam please

Post by user-612937456 »

This is for a late SBC factory roller type
Looks like a HYD roller core not a billet core
with a retainer step next to the timing chain
Lift at 1.5 ratio is .513/.517 I/E

The markings on the back cam plug end is

254 00R
and
071 fm20

Thanks for your help

It may be time to do it the hard way by means of a degree wheel!

You'll just have to plot it either on a fixture or in a block with a degree wheel to see what it has for events, lift etc because you never know... A few weeks ago I plotted a few cams for a customer because some of them were unmarked "mystery cams" and we found a couple that were interesting and useful for some builds that he's doing.
