\:D/ Very nice.

Who's piston are you using? assuming its a shelf wiseco/diamond etc?

Not scared to turn the rpm's up with the stock rods? They seem to be fine cylinder pressure wise / compression, but tensile loading from piston speed? :-k

Nice build though, I like the whole less is more :-D

Yes. It does scare me. But im fine with being a guinea pig on that.

Looking for hidden what? You don't make sense with that nonsense. I can't take you seriously nor anything you say when you act like that.

Thank's for that, nice looking slug.I had my eyes on the mahle dome pistons with the 1.0 x 1.0 x 2.0 ring pack until I realised they had a moly top ring.

I'm doing a similar build but with some Dart cathedrals, I've got my work cut out for me yet #-o

Not to derail the thread, but what is the issue with the moly top ring? Looking to discuss the technical reason why? Or are you saying it is a moly, and not a plasma-moly?

No issues with the moly inlay, just that mine will see some nitrous in it's life and I wouldn't feel comfortable.

I like the gas nitride steel top that JE/SRP uses, they seem to last forever.

Hey 202. What are some of the details if your build?

Thanks for the quick answer. Now, back to our regularly schedule program...

It's a cheapy! :D Building it for my street car, trying to keep it basic and keep the $ down.

4.070 x 3.62
LS3 block, std crank. Likely end up with some compstar rods and JE or wiseco Domes

RHS/Dart cathedrals, started life as 225's but I'm about to go through them. Planning to run ls9 ex valves and turn ls3 hollow intakes down to 2.1.
Edel super Vic, Modded with a dominator flange.
4>2>1 header

Will be Hydraulic roller, std rockers with bushings, travel limited ls7 lifters, PSI Beehives, stock oil pump & timing gears with a c5r chain ~ just basic stuff, but the pudding is in the details I guess 8)

If it made 700 I'd be stoked, 650 would make me happy. Rpm's ~ as many as the valvetrain permits [-o<

That sounds cool.....and familiar. Im doing travel limited stock lifters also. How big are the heads now? Sizes, csa etc? Valvetrain is my biggest worry on mine.

How much plunger travel are you guys leaving when you shim the lifters?

Mine will have about half taken out initially. Leaving
.100 or a little less. I may take more out later but didnt wanna get too crazy while the valvetrain is still non adjustable.

Sounds reasonable,
where do you plan to set the assembled "plunger height"? Right In the middle of your travel?

Most likely. I will probably base that decision on just how consistent one is to another. Im not wanting to buy 5 sets of pushrods. Buy yeah. Ill probably shoot for .050 or deeper to account for growth.
