Ok looks like stuska dyno///not my favorite but can be good//been reading through posts of yours and others Randy///sounds like you have spent some quality time on the dyno//how do you like the stuska?//dont foresee them being around much longer///corporate has scooped everyone up///recently noticed the related thread feature im down a wormhole with your guys and others dyno results

I made a pull or 2 to 7800 already. If all is well with oil and valvetrain is good, i most likely will pull to 8000. Im hoping cam 2 slightly pushes things that direction anyway.

Well its taught me a lot. A lot about engines and a lot about dynos . The stuska can be accurate and repeatable but it takes staying on top of things to ensure it is. Especially when pulling from well below peak torque to well past it...but we have found things to do to make those kind of pulls more smooth and consistent.

Calibrating the torque arm, using correct inertia factor, keeping an eye on average and peak acceleration rates, consistent operator procedure, sometimes even adding flywheel weight to calm things down, and a lot more are important to stay on top of if your trying to learn and find directions to head. Im not in their to market.. being a hobbyist, just to learn and develop, and regularly have the same engine back on this same dyno at different times of the year, so staying on top of all these things are important to keep things as consistent as possible from one session to the next for the sake of getting better at this money pit hobby. :D

Its also taught me that many people using dyno's are clueless about how they got to where they are....its up to you to fact check the dyno you use...

I've wondered the same. There was another name on here that did the same thing just a few months ago. One of Chad's "fans", IIRC. I guess it's 'just a coincidence' that they both have it out for Chad and both use /// instead of spaces and periods.

I'm still around. I'm still waiting to be "ruined" like I was threatened.

Stock production GM...took some travel out with spacers but not enough to matter really. With aluminum block, aluminum heads and stock non adjustable valvetrain, I needed to leave some "fudge" factor in there lol.

I started to go down the path of taking nearly all the travel out...but I soon realized how daunting that was going to be with pushrod lengths. Even if i got that perfect I'd still have to leave enough travel in there to account for block and head growth. And I would have a ton of pushrods laying around lol

The // seem to be an odd source of hostility amongst some. No problem. A bad habit picked up from text messaging I suppose. Say no more. Not the first time offending people online with keyboard habits. I recently learned elsewhere on the web about the use of all caps being frowned upon.
