Check valve (reed type) and activation solenoid worked without a pump in the 2-stroke. Something similar plumbed between intake and exhaust would be ridiculously simple and low maintenance. Potentially could help with surge too, while keeping the turbine spooling. That is, if that kind of setup would actually work in this application. Apparently the general principle is sound, if Porsche has done it.
