Wouldn't last long. You think the crowds at dirt tracks and amateur races are small now, give Nascar drivers at the highest levels showroom stock cars and see what happens.

Do you guys even think about what you're typing?

Bumping, sliding, chassis twisting around, much more of a spectacle than watching a parade of advertisements (NASCAR), or sterile, clinical winged karts (F1)

Let's all just think for a moment and follow the money. Nascar wants every make to win for more advertising$ . That is all.

The busch guys ran V-6's back in the 80's to early 90's and the idea was the same to reduce speed of the lower class
but they cost as much as a V-8. We used to buy them from teams after a major event for $15,000 complete as it came from the car. ran them in the northwest tour till they had an issue then chucked them most times.

Funny deal here is back then the 9.45-1 NW tour 358 cost about $40,000 but the V-6 engines with a 750 carb and a 250 lb weight break could run them over every week till there was a head issue which was most of their failures.
the heads we had could not stand a VJ and guides could not be replaced because of the epoxy and port work.

We would get +.003" Ti valves made to suit rehone fit them to the guides without removing them and kiss the valve seat and run them again till they puked. Not much else could be done with them.

But to build them is cubic dollars compared to the combinations they run today. I bet it would cost double to do a V-6 today
compared to the V-8's they run
