Maker of 2.05 chevy valve?

Post by rewguy »

Valve measures about 5.020 (+.100) long. 2.05 dia. .250 tip. Single square groove. Center inch of valve head is concave probably .050 deep. Only lettering near the tip reads (as close as I can read "V954". Thankyou for any help! Desn't seem to coincide with and Milodon, Manley, Ferrea, PEP, or SI number that I can find.....although it may be a superceded number.

TRW / Sealed Power did have numbers like that but I just looked through a couple of ancient catalogs I have and the V954 is a tractor valve. The number in your picture actually looks like V964 to me and that didnt show up. I will look at some other stuff I have at the shop in the morning.

Is there is no Groove for a o ring seal so it's really not a stock replacement it would seem!
It is a 2 peice valve though and you want stay far away from those !

I just looked at every book I have at the shop along with several interchanges and cannot find a 2.05 valve with a number anywhere similar to that. Might be some inexpensive replacement.

There are plenty of valves available with those dimensions that should work.

I think it's from Liberty Engine Parts. They rebox that number under part number tx205-1
