Going to do them in Super Stock form. Should be killer for a 6000 RPM street engine!

First time on the bench with a 2.02 valve and factory valve job. Just shaped and not tweaked.

Nice, that is a bit better than the bowties I ran in the 90's on my full roller 383 in the Chevelle, I seem to remember mine were about 200 cc ports and 2.055" valve. That has the makings of a serious street beast. Love it.

I'm going to 8mm a 2.08 LS valve and run that. Port is going to be under 200cc.

That should bring you right about 300 cfm @ .6" lift. I can see the stock computer and 500 hp both being exceeded. Any word on the short block? Thanks, Charlie

I'm going to sell the L98 shortblock. I was thinking of just putting a carb manifold on it and pricing it at 2500 with the heads, etc..

I have a 4.165 splayed cap block I'm going to use. Use a roller cam this time.

The shortblock will sell. You have the beginnings of a killer small block there. Did you buy that 9" rear?

No, I found a OEM direct replacement Dana 44. It has 3.92 gears.

Sounds good in the video. I did some research on how the spintecs are designed. Interesting but I don't know how efficient they are at flow. I doubt they will hold it back.

Computer can support alot more than 500. Maf May restrict some but there are ways around that with some detailed custom programming with a bigger maf housing or going 91-92 speed density. You are limited in fuel control to 6400 basically which supplies that amount to whatever you can rev to. Timing table is to 4800 on the maf stuff and some boosted code but its enough to do some work. I’ve taken that ecm to 800-900 flywheel hp in a turbo deal lol

True enough. When we were playing with the TPI system a few of us were above the 500HP mark at the motor. This was with the speed density 1990 ECM.

I will be happy with 500.. cough cough.. :)

Hey while I have a few 3rd Gen guys here, where can I find that little metal clip that goes under the speedometer needle to hold up the assembly. Goes underneath the curly cue that the needle pushes onto.

Let me see if i have any. I got a few instruments clusters but they were for 91-92 stuff i think. Not sure if they are the same or not
