Chad what happened to your thread on CF about the 113s you were doing?
Is that the std firing order ? Like seeing stock stuff being used occasionally to see what can be had..aftermarket is good but too easy.

Not sure what happened to the thread.

That is why I stayed with the 113's. I put liners in the and 8mm LS valves. They really aren't horrible heads, just only so much you can do. Picture of chamber before I blended the valve job.

I really like how you designed that whole engine. Did you ever get a chance to flow the throttle body, intake and head together?

Charlie as you know I just did the 113's and a mini-ram for my 3rd Gen. It was a lot of work and part of me wishes I would have went with an aftermarket head. It runs well, just want more!

No I didn't. I didn't really have a lot of time to spend on them.

Here is straight off the engine to the bench, then after porting. I didn't get crazy with them, just a nice shape and full burr finish on the heads and mini-ram.

nice work...did you put new seats in?
Wondering if my old Conquest heads could be setup to run 8mm valves also? Install liners or all new guides? What do you think that would run

No, factory seats with a 2.00/1.58 valve. I put new steel guides in them and cut the seal for a .500 OD. Then I put a 8mm rapid liner in them.

Using those SLP runners we have got the CFM numbers to well over 300 cfm. That includes welding and a whole lot of grinding. Same with the Edelbrock TPI intake manifold. We also welded up and ground the hell out of the TPI plenum and had to relocate a bolt hole on each side. When I was doing my TPI mods I used the AFR heads. I think the OP has different goals though and hats off to him. :D

So your saying the runner itself flowed 300cfm?

Yes, I was using the first version SLP runner. If you saw a picture of them you could see why.

I have a set here. I don't get it myself. I guess it just depends on how hard you want to turn the engine.

I was looking to see if I had any pictures left. Here is one of me mating the SLP runners to the First TPI intake. This is a flange(s) that I had made to match things up. You can see how much welding was required. We were turning the engine to 6500 rpm and the power was still there and sort of flat lining.

Here is another photo that I found. In this picture you can see we had to relocate the lower bolt holes on the SLP runner. This project was for fun to see what kind of power you could get out of a TPI style runner. :D
