Who is established ignition pro who has SUN distributor machine (or equivalent), and can and does rebuild and set up & performance recurve conventional chevy distributors (points & HEI) on a regular-routine basis? Also, taking in work now?
Lower 48 only please.

Try Halifaxhops on forabodiesonly.com he specializes in distributors and even restoration of Dist. Machines and diagnostic equipment.

There was excellent advice in another thread. Whatever the distributor is, run it as is with the coil and cap and use a timing light with however spark plugs are used. Just use the machine to spin a distributor. Put a timing light on it, this stuff isn't that hard.
Heat is energy, energy is horsepower...but you gotta control the heat.

I still have never understood why people worry about a machine working that is 30 years old. Step up and understand that it is RPM and whatever pulse.

One of William Baldwin's Sun distributor machines used to belong to Maurice Petty. He knows a thing or two about setting up the mechanical advance to compensate for the slew rate in the electronics that otherwise will cause the timing to retard with RPM if the distributor is locked or the advance hits the limit stop.

Baldwin is prob a good choice for what is requested
Ray (Halifax Hops, Halifax, Pa) does mostly Chrysler restorations. Don't know if he'll even do any mods on a Delco or Fomoco.
