Check out the 64 vette thread and see how much power Vortec pro made with the same cfm. Street mill.

The compression ratio on this engine is too high for pump gas and cam is a little big for the street , but you can see what can be done with 351w heads with some effort. There is a little more left in this engine with some carb emulsion circuit adjustments and a small tweak on intake to stop cyl 8 from stealing fuel from 3.

Bill, I am guessing this is your cnc version of a ford casting?

No, this is with a typical 50 year old production 351w casting. The "new" heads we are reproducing are the C6FE heads that are cast with the original FORD tooling from 1966 that has been rescued and repaired. The C6FE's are much bigger ports, but very similar chambers.

That came out kind of vague. This engine that i posted dyno sheet for has original D00E ford castings from 1970 that we CNC ported and hand blended along with our normal race build. I probably shouldn't mention the C6FE castings in this post. It will just confuse people.

Looks like the intake ports will be good for .550" lift
Thanks! It’s been a very interesting learning experience

That is the plan. Now just to duplicate this work 14 more times lol

Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

7 more intake ports, 7 more exhaust ports  Or 7 more pairs. However you want to look at it.

Thanks for your help as well on this little adventure

If you come across another one of those heads, you could try recutting the seat to 1.94, and not have the aggressive bowl hog job done....... then apply what you’ve learned on this head...... and see how the numbers compare.

You might be able to retain the high lift flow and boost the lower lift numbers a bit.

Reworked stock heads in the 200-230cfm range can make decent power with the right combination of parts.
