tensioner bearing cross over

Trying to find a Honda application tensioner bearing- NAPA crossed it to a SKF 6203-2RST but this new bearing is thinner.

existing bearing dimensions:
OD 40mm
ID 17mm
thickness 14mm

Most times its just easier to get the complete pulley/tensioner rather then try to just change a bearing.

If I have a customer request for that I don't waste the time as from what I have seen some bearings
are of lesser quality then the OEM used to start with.

ProPower is right, and most of the times you get upset by paying 100$ for a assembled part instead of the 25$ for the bearing. Have done so plenty of times, even if I have stacks of bearings in the basement- very seldom the one I need right then; but sometimes I'm Lucky...

I did purchase a replacement assembly- Honda part with Gates name on it. Thought was to have a spare.

You can search bearing suppliers by size to find one with the size you need. Found a NTN Radial BB 40mm OD x 17mm ID x 14.28mm thick

You can try searching through only INA(Schaeffler) bearings, also.

minor noise started coming from belt area- tensioners are hard for me to diagnose as they are dynamic. Wasn't the tensioner as I replaced the pulley and wrecked this bearing afterwards. Noise still there- will have to wait until it becomes really annoying.

bearing would be 17x40x17 double ball bearing. Emailed INA rep here- $50cdn.
