whats everyone thoughts on spraying copper seal ontop of VITON coated mls gaskets?
this viton coating is there to help seal the gaskets when a low enough RA is not achieved during resurfacing - according to the gasket makers.
it can't be of detriment, can it?

the viton is there already to do what paint used to be used for. imo adding another dissimilar material to the equation is asking for problems. no experience as its not something i would consider doing.

I had similar thoughts on a 7M-GTE engine build. I did go ahead and use copper spray.
Was a moderately boosted application and has travelled approx. 8000kmsince build with no issues.
