Just to be clear, true electrolysis process only will remove rust, it does not remove any parent metal. It is the preferred method to use when removing rust from a car body as only the rust is removed, no parent metal. The name seems to get interchanged with other processes that do remove parent metal.

This is a set of heads that soaked for about a week and a half in a 10:1 solution of water and molasses. You have to buy the molasses from a feed store,not a supermarket. Costs about $10.00 for a gallon.

I also soaked some grille parts for my '66 GMC-they came out perfect.
