Which high performance marine engine builders are at the forefront

It's been many years since I have followed who is doing what with respect to marine performance engines. Particularly interested BBC with forced induction.

A couple of shops which have a large internet presence in the BBC marine business are only assemblers. They open boxes and bolt together what's in them and top it off with engraved rocker covers.

I'm not a boat guy but living here by NY Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario there's lots of high performance boats...What popular on the big lake is still multi engine Scarabs, Fountains etc...most are Mercury Marine BBC's, many are supercharged...From what I'm told, enought boost for about 600 HP on pump fuel...There are also smaller single engine boats with a BBC or BBF of around 600 cubic inches..Problems seem to be destruction from detonation...
