Nice work
What do you recommend for someone looking to install guides to use 8mm valves?
They would be Dart knockoffs

All I use is the RAPID liners and tooling.

But you can buy new guides as cheap.

All in all done with manifold. 6% loss to the front two. 2-4% all the rest.

Engine going together this weekend.

Chad thanks for the pics, always interesting to see someones work. Wondering why those intake elbows are always straight and not belled somewhat just above the plenum, maybe shaped somewhat like a blowthru bonnet for a carb? I know some elbows for those forward facing throttle bodies have a divider top help even out front/back flow. Any insights if you have tested any of that? How close have you gotten the front and back with a converted carb intake elbow combination?

Because it needs to fit under the hood. I tested everything on this. The front two runners have a 5.8% loss, the rest 4%. Within less than 1% of the carburetor and spacer.

Something else of interest. Have a couple of Super Stock customers that run the Edelbrock elbow and a 58mm and they want me to do this type for them.

Ahh ok, so not much difference from a carb. I figured there was a space constraint as low as it is. Thanks for the explanation and insight to limitations you were working with.

nice work as usual....what kind of improvements did you see going from 2.02 to 2.08 intake on those?
Are those the cnc heads you do or the epoxied ones

This head is my 205cc CNC head with the big bore. Also have it in a small bore version.

Are you afraid those shorty headers are going to hurt the power numbers?

probably, but long headers and dual exhaust is a PIA in a 3rd gen unless you like it hanging down 3".
