12-207-3 Comp Cam

Post by Steve K »

I put is cam in a 350 sbc with a performer intake and headers, stock heads, not sure casting number but 76 cc so probably 8.5:1 compression. Its going in a full size GM B body, 1983 Pontiac Parisienne, weighs about 3800lbs. Has a/c. The car currently has a stock 305.Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this cam, idle quality, power range etc. There doesn't seem to be too much info on it.

Never used it.
That series of cams typically have bigger....... and faster......ex lobes than intake lobes....... which appears to be the case for that particular cam.

I’d be more inclined to use something like a Comp 12-206-2, 12-312-4, 12-670-4, or an Isky supercam.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.
