Thanks for the replys so far.
Max hp rpm 6000 but I can shift at 6500 or so but from what I've seen its actually faster or as fast to shift earlier.

What I'm thinking I'd like is a cam with less overlap but with the same lift or a little more, I did find the specs on the compcam I have
Exh closes 38atdc intake opens 48btdc

Exh opens 86bbdc intake closes 78abdc
244@50 and valve lift 612

In my mind I'm thinking I'd see more benifits from delaying the intaking opening and maybe increasing the intake closing with the intake manifold I have which has straight tall runners ? More ram effect ? Cheers

And yes compcams new site is far from ideal

Just see if you can find a cam as close to my specs as possible.
We ship cams to Australia all the time, but it's expensive.

Check with SCM Engine Development in Ballarat, and see if they have something close.

No. Those opening and closing numbers are for a cam that's 242 on the intake, and 288 on the exhaust.
It looks like you used the .050" intake duration for the intake numbers, and the .006" Intake duration for the exhaust numbers.

Here's the opening and closing numbers for my cam.
At .050" Lobe Lift
IVO: 14 BTDC
IVC: 48 ABC
EVO: 56 BBC
EVC: 10 ATDC
Overlap = 24

At .006" Lobe Lift
IVO: 37 BTDC
IVC: 71 ABC
EVO: 79 BBC
EVC: 33 ATDC
Overlap = 70

Mike,
Do you factor in valve diameter into the lift determination?
