LT-1 rev cooled head issue

Post by ProPower engines »

Hey guys
looking for a stock replacement bronze or non hardened cast guides for the late LT-1 rev. cooled heads.
I used to have the part number from Pioneer for a .557" and .558" press in guide but my system crashed
a few months back and lost the data on them.
Called about bronze stepped guides but at $25/per I figured there may be someone here that has a current
part number for a suitable length replacement.

Thanks in advance

Will these work? Cast iron oem replacements.

SI has manganese-bronze part # VG 9436/00

They are .3425" ID x .5575" OD x 2.275" long

I like to use the K-Liners on them because the OE guides are bored after installation and using a liner keeps the seat concentric to the guide...plus the K-Liner is just a really good product when installed properly.

SBI has them too. http://www.sbi-e-catalog.com/PartDetail ... e%20Guides
Thanks Bill
The SBI guides I got today measured .559 not sure why as they are listed as .5575"
I got an Elgin # and we will find out tomorrow what they measure.

Thanks Good to know
I will make a note of this number for later.
The local GM dealer used to have good stock on them but they returned them all about a month back. #-o
