MFI throttle shaft lube?

Post by Kurshuk »

For those running naturally aspirated stack injection, what are you using to lube the throttle shafts? Dry lube like PTFE, wet lube like WD40, what have you found to work best?

One would think dry lube would be the better option as it does not tend to attract dirt,,,

I have searched the forums for this topic with no luck.

I use Gibbs Brand.
WD40 gets gummy if it sits long enough.
Gibbs brand can keep corrosion from happening if it sits for long periods.
Whatever you use is a disappearing act as it can get drawn into the engine.
Things like Gibbs Brand and Marvel Mystery oil have the benefit of being combustible.
Best thing to do if you deem it is time to lube is to do it during the first warmup of the day.
