Aha- the Shorter pushrod- as in a smallbock... the more angular.... A thing I did not consider. However, x-perts telling it's OK on my setup. So- I put my faith in there.
Still waiting for answer on why no-no to angular pushrod past 7500 RPM....? Or is this a saying I should NOT put any faith into? Just askin'.

Re: When are Offset Lifters Needed ?
I was told once by an old engine machinist, "Building a racing engine is a series of compromises that include budget, type of racing, parts available, engine platform, rules etc." We have to sit down and design within said parameters, usually for the Sportsman racer budget is a pretty large limiting factor. There are a LOT of racers running offset cup tie bar lifters successfully with limitations of course. (lift, spring pressures, type of racing etc) One thing I have seen is to never run both intake and exhaust offset with tie bars. Stands to reason each trying to twist things in a different direction could make a big mess of things.
