2x peak power or 2x average power? 2x average power is a lot easier with turbos.

Thought I recognized the car.
Here's a notable quote before he sold it.

So much non big block Chevy responses. Here's my response. Spend your 6k on a dart m based shortblock.

Then another 6k on the induction. Now when you Turbo it you won't kill the guy next to you at the track or be the asshole that oils it down for the rest of the day.

You must be a mind reader...

After so many negative responses about trying to hit the number with a big block chevy, I was actually starting to look at 521-557 ford based engines.. seems strange that the Ford version would be a cheaper option, but honestly if i didn't already have the 427 truck block and steel crankshaft for $300, I think I would give it a shot with an .080 over 460 block and a 4.5 crank.

Cheap, Fast, Reliable... Choose Two.

I haven't read the replies, but there's a chance he could do it.
He would have to be really smart about finding good used parts, then spray the LIFE out of it.
It would be a bomb, and that $6k probably wouldn't last very long.

I knowthe intake on the right with plenum, my buddy had one on his 454 ss truck

Whats the one on the left? How big are the ports on it?

Either of those should work fine imo

What's the altitude? That's like a 400hp correction for the amount of fuel you used.
