Land and Sea Dynos????

Post by Norris Marshall »

We have a brake in there getting overhauled and noticed that as of yesterday they don't answer their phones. Are they on vacation or out of business? anybody know anything about them.
thanks.

Hopefully they were just closed for the holiday. I love mine and hope they stay around.

I am sure they are still in business, I talked to them at their booth during the PRI show a few weeks ago. They had several dyno's on display. I have had trouble sometimes getting them to answer the phone as well sometimes.

I hope the link works. I guess the founder of Land and Sea passed away and they are trying to do some restructuring to keep the doors open. I hope they succeed as I love my dyno and hope to have their support for a very long time.

I hope that you get taken care of and get your brake back.

That really sucks, I purchased a used 13 inch dynamite brake about a year ago and built a dyno, just now getting the bugs out of it. Oh well now I own another orphan piece of equipment, just add it to the list. I am really glad now that I went with another company for all the electronics. I got a Plymouth as well, I still love it too.

Does anyone have any info or wiring diagram of the RPM pickup?

It's for an inertia dyno. Pickup for the drum.

Normally open? Normally closed?

I just spoke with Peter Owen from Dynomite/Land and Sea through email. I asked if they were still open and this was his response.
Our financial concerns have been addressed and my hope is to be able to speak openly about the situation later this week. Please know that we have finalized the deal that allows us to return to production. All deposits will be honored and the production completed as quickly as possible. Full technical support will also be returning. Again, more information to follow.

We expect to me fully reopened the week of March 9th.

The users forum is still active. You may be able to get some tech help there.

Looking for a older 800hp Land and Sea water break. Just wanted to check to see if anybody had one or if anybody knew somebody that does.
