All choices listed sound good to me

Oil change intervals based on miles are not telling the whole story, equally important is the number of HOURS.
Avoid idling when possible, because the emissions system on these newer modles makes life hard on the engine, washing down your cylinders to keep the soot filter HOT.

Are you referring to delvac 1 full synthetic? 50000 is a long time for oil to be in an engine
Nope...Delvac dino oil. The key was 3% idle time...

Wow. Thanks Graig. Interesting

I have been using delvac MX or Cat DEO in my light common rail engines. But I change it at 8000km. I hate black oil. Lol and it’s cheap

Does your EGR valve work as per factory or has it mysteriously been blocked up with a "blank gasket" ?

No I was told that will throw fault codes. It’s an Isuzu Dmax
I had ecu re mapped they told me it will reduce EGR activity but NOT eliminate it. I’m all ears if you know ways around it

Ah , not on DMax, i dont know an easy EGR delete on them. Great vehicle though, I'll take a dmax over any of the other similar vehicles no problem.
Even a reduction in egr is great.
Do you know what tune was used in yours?

It’s a roo systems towing and touring tune. It made 34rwkw. More
It changed to Ute from being a slug that I hated to something decent. I have raced stock rangers and stay on their door past 100mph. And it’s amazing on fuel
