GMP LS-9 CnC Ported Heads

Post by ProPower engines »

Hey guys
Does anyone have any info on the GMP LS9 CNC ported heads?

Looking for some basic flow numbers to get on with cam choice.
This is a 4" stroker deal with a 4.030 bore.

Any info will be greatly appreciated

Dave

Not sure on the flow numbers. I do a lot of machine work for a LS builder who uses them. The only complaint I have heard from him is the valves are fairly short and therefore difficult to achieve enough installed height for higher lifts. He found some retainers and locks from Brian Tooley that helped him some.

So,... your looking for a "basic cam choice" ??
I mean without exact flow numbers how could you get an exact cam choice??

HA HA

I was looking for a base line for a off the shelf from GM dealer what to expect before I do flow them so a cam can be chosen since there is no further port work being done at customers/dealerships request which may really suck depending on what they do flow like.

Thanks for the link. I have them out at the flow bench at this point but it will be nice to compare between the two.
They are so cheap up here I looked at doing a set but customer found these in Alberta at the local dealer.
Decent castings and thicker then the stock heads. =D>
