Cross section drawings presumably from the factory don't match the pictues of the cut-away show job engine.

Maybe the pipe slice is not on the port centerline.....

Curious as to the step, but as far as the radius / exhaust port, packing trumps power in this application.

The radiator sits just in front of the header and the wheel / tire is very close to the radiator.

These applications make more power than they can put down. At most road race tracks, a Superbike is “all in” power wise maybe 10-15% of the lap. Losing some peak power to make the bike more compact, aerodynamic, and focus handling overrules some power gains by fixing the exhaust port exit.

I own a fire blade. Is this for the new 220hp version?

Correct. The pipe slice is not in the same plane and creates an optical illusion.

That inlet tract shape looks peculiar too.

Looks like a ramp to help steer / promote tumble. Looks a lot like you see in the Honda white papers with their other contemporary designs (like the new NSX engine).

This engine is 220hp/L from the factory. Emissions legal, pump gas, etc.
