about 22 initial 32 total right now. havent dyno'd to see if it picks up with more. only on 91 as well.
revs past 7 clean .. needs shorter tire or more gear but wanted to hear estimates !!??
p.s. accessories, fuel line, pulleys etc being replaced. customer put all money in the motor

I'd expect at least 410 WHP.
Should make 540hp flywheel easily.

Are these heads ported or as cast??
Valve job?

520hp @ 6400rpm & 480ft-lb @ 4900rpm at the crank if the valvetrain survives and if you use 93 octane gas.
Re: engine power estimates ATK/PROFILER 210cc 383 solid cam/video running
You can measure and calc the engines real power by simply running the vehicle down the drag strip 1/8 th mi or 1/4 mi MPH and known true weight with driver tells the tale.
Then, with the weather condition data noted during the
accel tests you can correct to standard weather conditions for bragging rights.

heads are cast , really good port match and valve job . thats it .
also wanted to add that i wired and relay'd up a set of contour fans in this truck and I don't think I will ever buy an aftermarket setup ever again. unless its for show. Can cruise the truck forever, beat on it, won't go over 180.. thats the thermostat i have in it too. stock iron water pump.
35 bucks for fans , 15 in relay i think.

Thanks for the clarification, I don't know the profiler heads but there are a few different brands of 23 degree heads that all port stall around 0.500"-0.550" so I curious about the ATK head.hereinmissoula wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 6:07 pmheads are cast , really good port match and valve job . thats it .

I looked on website
2.08" valve
297 cfm @ 0.800"
In my opinion with that size intake valve and intake runner size the motor would want to peak around 6500-6800 rpm maybe higher if everything else lines up
I think the 300-25 intake is a good choice,
Did you size pushrod pinch when you port matched to intake?
My dart 180 heads were very close to port match of the 300-25 trimming a 1205 felpro.

I did not measure pinch . Only paid 1047.00 for heads I believe . Here is pics of port job . Matched them both to 1206 . Intake was farther off than this .steve cowan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 7:17 pmThanks for the clarification, I don't know the profiler heads but there are a few different brands of 23 degree heads that all port stall around 0.500"-0.550" so I curious about the ATK head.hereinmissoula wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 6:07 pmheads are cast , really good port match and valve job . thats it .

I thought I made a good intake choice as well, however the engine hangs out around 5000 to 5500 for quite a while on the 1-2 shift As it does not have enough gear. I’d like to put a 26 inch tire on it I’m sure that would help but I’ve been thinking about trying an air-gap.

Also this was a budget build . Please critique my cam choice. Tried to make a street machine cam for c10 that actually makes some power . Couldn’t afford afford morels in hyd or solids .. went bullet edm solids..
Would you have made different combo ?

Re: engine power estimates ATK/PROFILER 210cc 383 solid cam/video running
I am not really sure of your application with engine/ truck.
I would forget about the air gap intake as there is a huge mismatch in CSA, one word of advice and this is only my opinion but I don't gasket match, I find the biggest port whether intake or exhaust and measure and size match the other ports, I have not looked at a 1206 gasket on my 300-25 but I suspect a bit of material would need to be removed then you have work back up the intake runner to even out the CSA.
Maybe one issue you might find is a bit of low engine speed reversion but again I don't know how those cylinder heads, over the last few years I have gone back to smaller cylinder head and camshaft on my 383 engines, your engine will run fine so enjoy it.

Unless I did something on engine analyzer wrong I got 469hp @ 6000 and 436ft-lb @ 5000, decent torque (over 350) from 2800 up.
Had to estimate a few things

Wow that seems low . I have got that from much less head and cam .
What took it down ? I was estimating 500-525 .

I did carry everything quite a ways , especially on manifold .
