How hard have you guys pushed these rods?
Anyone had bearing issues with them due to going out of round at
7000 rpm?
Just had a 355” engine 540hp at 7000 eat a big end bearing 6 dyno pulls in
Other lower bearing shells have odd wear marks towards part line

Re: Scat I beam 3/8 rods
I've used them in 10+ engines that turn around 6800-7200 with no problems, but these all had light pistons and under 420 horsepower. Mainly factory stock dirt engines and mild street builds.
Re: Scat I beam 3/8 rods
Mmm thanks. These pistons around 480g. I wonder if that tipped them over the edge

Might be testing my luck but have engines out there in the 600 hp range and a 306 Ford that hits 8000 every pass. Nothing strange with the bearings and rods check out on size each time they are freshened. In each of those cases the pistons are 100 grams + lighter than what you are using.

I’ve used them as well and never had any issues. Best was a 388 stroker, scat crank and I-beam rods, iirc 454 gram Wiseco pistons...saw 7000-7500 many many times, about 475 magazine horsepower lol
