I have a -78 Fiat twincam block going to the shop.
The oil galley plugs were epoxied in back in 2000. Looks like they would be hard to remove.
Should I leave them in? Crank bearings looked perfect.
How to clean w/o removing?
Thoughts?

yep...always..block will need to be thoroughly cleaned when returned from the machine shop and you can't clean the galleys properly with the plugs in place.

You should be able to chip it out, I've never had JB weld hold that well...if it's really stuck good, you can drill through it...or take a carbide burr to remove it....

I had to remove jb weld from an intake transfer port of a 2 stroke cylinder once, I got it hot with a hand held map gas torch, then shocked it with water, it popped loose, barely heated the surrounding aluminum at all. Then it was brittle and easy to break up with a punch and a hammer. Might be worth a try
