I’m replacing my melling 10555 oil pump
The new one arrived and I tried to pull the plug to check the bypass spring, well needless to say the plug is not moving, do they locite these plugs if so would heating up the plug with a heat gun work to loosen it or is they another trick to use
Thanks

As far as I know they done use loktite, but they do install them so tight that it's amassing that they do not split the casting!
I use a big Ass vice to hold it in and a 1/2" drive air gun run off a 140 psi tank.

Yes they have Loctite on the threads. Usually doesn't take much heat to remove them.fishman wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 3:02 am I’m replacing my melling 10555 oil pump
