can a boost control solenoid be triggered with a Hobbs switch

Post by falcongeorge »

Looking for confirmation. I am assuming there is no reason why a boost control solenoid can't be turned on and off by a hobbs switch?

http://www.texasindustrialelectric.com/ ... itches.asp

--this link lists all of the Honeywell pressure switches which are similar to Hobbs switches---being able to handle 8 amps at 12vdc

---if your solenoid pulls anywhere close to that 8 amps with boost pressure applied to the solenoid then you'd probably need to use the Hobbs to switch on like a 30 amp relay to run the solenoid
